mental preparations

one day friends, one day. Life is a funny thing, huh? how did i end up here, thinking about school. a mere 33 hours and i will be there. pretty soon this will all be a blur. just like the last day of my junior year, tbc power trip, summer blast, my split lip, colorado, and today are all a blur. inconceivable. at least i have a scar to remind me of the good times. i don't want to go back. beacuse i know how i get during school. tossed around in a whirlwind of motion. i find myself wanting to scream; that hasn't happened so far. i just stand there in a daze. kind of like a 9 month coma. or maybe summer is the 3 month coma. reguardless, you get the drift. i am excited for this year in one aspect. i've grown up spiritually/ mentally (however you want to think of it) so i just want to see this growth play out...if you know what i mean. i've learned so much this summer. now i know how to stop the whirlwind. this year is going to be different, i can feel it. i feel like i have more control of my life. rather, i know now that i have no control over my life, God is in the driver's seat. it's amazing to be sure of something. i'm sure of His love, faithfulness, & mercy; and those are the only school supplies i need for my senior year.
